During an expansion of McCarran International Airport, Clark County instituted a major turf reduction initiative.  JWZ worked with the county, NDOT, and airport staff to create a “desert oasis” landscape using plant material that is suitable for Las Vegas, and water efficient.  Approximately 6 acres of turf was replaced with water saving, more visually appealing plant material that acts as the gateway to Las Vegas for a multitude of air travelers. It is the signature landscape for our community.
