The designs for this hospice reduced water consumption and maintenance by converting much of the existing turf to more environmentally appropriate landscaping.  The first phase of the project included the new facility and the street side area of the existing facility, including meandering memorial walking paths accented with flowering groundcovers and evergreen shrubs. The second phase consisted of redesign of an interior courtyard, and several private family areas adjacent to the patient rooms. The interior courtyard features a small waterfall and stream that bisects the courtyard. A small ramada was tucked into a corner to provide a seating area that allows for views across the courtyard.
